Cheerful welcome. Great steak options. Appreciated have two 0/0 beer options. Colleague was well served with local red vino options. Attentive service with cheer. Middle of winter and could have been a little warmer. I had the most expensive steak, Pitch Black Beef Rib Eye - medium rare. $79 + potato and salad. About $90 all up. Waiter revved up steak house cut chip. Disappointing as they were only just warm. Was a touch disappointed that they didn't have a single sea salt grinder! Nice 40cm high pepper grinder though on request. Only cheapo table salt ... on this steak... never. Very nice Sticky Date with nuts. All up good range of meal options but just a touch more attention to detail.

High quality meals and great staff.Staff were very accommodating of the kids.The meals were amazing. The best blue cheese sauce I have ever had.Kids burgers were so good that I couldn't help but pinch a bite!

Rustlers Steakhouse & Grill
I visited here 4 days ago and left bad feedback through the Rustlers internal review system due to having to send the steak back to the kitchen twice. I ordered a rib eye well done. It first came out medium rare and then it came out medium. The third time it was charred but finally well done. The staff gave me 2 serves of chips and 2 beers for free as an apology and I accepted that. I returned to Rustlers today and ordered the same meal. This time it appears the feedback was taken on board as the rib eye was perfect and not charred. There was also a different chef cooking the steak today. It appeared to me that the chef on the Sunday cooked the steak on the hottest part of the grill where today the chef cooked it correctly nice and slowly.It is good to see that the feedback was taken positively and lessons learned from the issues a few days ago. It is my last night in Albany and I got a great dinner.

Very overpriced. The food was good. The meals were very small for what you pay. The staff were lovely but hounded us constantly for extra drinks, to clear the table when we were still eating and to ask about the food. I had the chargrilled chicken breast (pictured) with a creamy garlic sauce. The sauce was flavourless. It cost us $170 for some cheesy garlic bread, 2 mains, 2 kids meals, 1 dessert and 2 drinks. Won’t be returning.

Good quality food. Prices are a bit steep but overall a great experience. Steak was well cooked but a little chewy in places. Ribs were great but need to be cooked and marinated in the sauce. Not given separately. Get the flavour in it! I'd go back.

Steaks were good. But everything else needs a lot of work to justify the pricing. “Pan fried” scallops with roe attached tossed in a soup afterwards? Seasonal vegetables were swimming in a ladle of garlic butter. I hate putting up bad reviews as this is a tough industry. But this one was pretty rough. Maybe a bad night for the crew?

Flavour of the New York Steak (Medium) and the Meaty Pork Ribs were both underwhelming for the price, slightly dry as well.We did eat everything, however the service, sides and drinks were all great for the price.Cleanliness was worth noting, as it’s nice to see a clean kitchen with the dining area being thoroughly cleaned between patrons.

Please do not come here. Here was my experience start to finish;After being seated and ordering a few drinks we open the mains menu (warning this may cause severe a jaw drop). It was super super expensive, not to mention that everything was sold separately. You don’t even get sauce with your steak, that’s seperate.We eventually came around to ordering and wow, they must be earning commission on the garlic breads because we could not have said no more times. Anyways nonetheless we ordered. We were told 45 minutes wait and food came in about one and a half hours, but that’s okay to be honest. I understand that stuff doesn’t always run on time.When food arrived though, I was really disappointed, steaks were cooked more then we asked. Which is annoying because they tasted really good, they would have been absolutely amazing if they had cooked it to our specifications.I’ve never gone and complained about food but I had to last night because we just payed so much.I was told a manager would come and see us and absolutely no one did. This part really upset me because if you say you’re going to do something… do it.Honourable mention; do not buy the chips, just don’t. So expensive for so little.There was some more annoyances but this was the main stuff.Buy your own BBQ, buy your own steaks and potatoes, get some salt and pepper, get some drinks… and do it yourself. I won’t be coming back.
